Mr. Khan has more than 20 years of high-tech and oil and gas experience, including both startup and public companies. Prior to co-founding Newport, Mr. Khan co-founded TTI Exploration, now NEOS GeoSolutions – a tech-driven, oil and gas E&P company funded by Kleiner Perkins, Goldman Sachs and Bill Gates – where he led a world-class, new ventures team that grew the Company’s asset value from $20 million in 2004 to $3.5 billion in 2008. Mr. Khan holds degrees in biomedical engineering and electrical engineering from California State University.
